Media releases for upcoming events are posted approximately 10 days prior to the event.
Media kits for events will be available at the event. If you’d like to receive a press kit prior to an event, please contact Jon Buzby at firstname.lastname@example.org.
All working members of the media with a company credential are asked to check in at the Information Tent/Table upon arrival at the event so that we can provide you with anything you might need for your coverage. Any other photographer, writer, or videographer, who does not have an official working media credential, should contact Jon Buzby at email@example.com prior to the event to make arrangements to receive appropriate credentials.
We use people-first language. Two examples: (1) Use the phrase individuals, persons or people with intellectual disabilities, rather than “mentally retarded” individuals or people, and (2) people have intellectual disabilities, rather than are “suffering from, afflicted with or a victim” of intellectual disabilities.
The official Special Olympics logo is the trademark of Special Olympics, Inc. and is used by programs around the world. Used consistently, the logo plays an important part in projecting the image of the Special Olympics as a strong, united organization composed of programs at the community, area, state, and national levels worldwide.
Any use of the Special Olympics Delaware (SODE) logo or any SODE-related event logo (i.e. Polar Bear Plunge, Over the Edge, etc.) in any form for any purposes MUST be approved in writing by SODE. Unauthorized use by third parties of any SODE logo or SODE-related event logo is strictly prohibited without prior approval. Please forward requests to firstname.lastname@example.org.
