LAW ENFORCEMENT TORCH RUN
The signature event for Delaware Law Enforcement for Special Olympics is the annual Torch Run, where hundreds of members of law enforcement carry the Flame of Hope across the state, lighting the way for acceptance and inclusion.
DATE, TIME AND LOCATION
2026 Statewide Torch Run – will be held on Wednesday, June 10 through Friday, June 12, 2026.
Multiple legs and ceremonies across the state take place leading up to Special Olympics Delaware Summer Games.
Although the Statewide Torch Run is open to members of law enforcement only, the community at large – athletes, coaches, families, friends, sponsors, fans – are invited to support the movement by making a donation.

Special Olympics Delaware provides resources to support members of law enforcement as they recruit runners, raise funds, and spread the word to the local community.
HISTORY
The 2025 event marked the 39th Anniversary of the Delaware Law Enforcement Torch Run, hosting over 800 runners and supporters and raised more than $90,000.
