Special Olympics Delaware offers programming starting at age 2 with no upper age limit. Our goal is to empower those with intellectual disabilities through the joy of sport.


How To Get Involved

Step 1. Download the SODE Athlete – Medical Form from the button below.

**Both a Physician and either the athlete or caretaker will have to complete the form in its entirety.**

Step 2. Email, mail, fax or drop off the completed form to the Special Olympics Delaware office for processing.

Step 3. Once your completed form is approved, you will be contacted by Louise Doe, Director of Volunteers and Athlete Engagement who will help you with next steps.

Step 4. Please review the sport seasons (button below) and when sign-ups are open for the season, and your medical form has been approved, you are welcome to sign-up for the sport of your choice.

We are so excited you would like to join Special Olympics Delaware

Special Olympics Delaware offers sports training and competition over four seasons. Athletes train for approximately 8-10 weeks in one sport per season and can then participate in a qualifying event and a State Tournament in that sport.
