Event Day Volunteers

Special Olympics Delaware holds several sports and fundraising events throughout the year all across the state. The events are possible thanks to hundreds of event volunteers who come out to execute the various aspects of the event. 

• Event volunteers – must be at least 14 years of age. Assist with tasks such as volunteer check-in, hospitality, awards and more! 
• Officials/Referees – must be at least 16 years of age, and in some sports at certain events, a certified official.
• Medical Team – must be at least 18 years of age and have a medical certification (MD, RN, EMT, etc.) Assist with medical support for athletes and volunteers.  
• Event Volunteers with fiscal responsibilities (ex. registration check-in) must be at least 16 years of age and complete Volunteer Certification.
