Special Olympics Delaware has several special programs and events for athletes and volunteers of all ages and abilities.
Some are opportunities to further enhance the athletes’ sports experience, while others are meant to provide athletes and volunteers with opportunities to enrich or improve their lives through non-sports activities.
SUMMER CAMP
Special Olympics Delaware’s overnight camp is a three-day, two-night camp held at Camp Barnes.


Motor Activity Training Program
The Motor Activities Training Program (MATP) is designed to prepare athletes with severe disabilities for sport-specific activities appropriate for their abilities.

Athlete Leadership Programs help athletes learn how to increase their leadership skills and create opportunities that encourage self-determination and independence in their lives.


YOUNG ATHLETE PROGRAM
The Special Olympics Young Athletes program is an innovative sports play program for children ages 2 through 7 designed to introduce young children with intellectual disabilities, their peers and their families to the world of Special Olympics.
