2,323 bears raise over $500,000 dollars
Mother Nature's second attempt at sending a nor'easter to ruin the plunge fell one day short, and the 2010 Lewes Polar Bear Plunge went off without a hitch under cloudy skies and warmer-than-usual 48 degree temperatures.
